Course Fees, Charges and Refunds

Assess to Lift caps class sizes and manages courses in a way that ensures all students are provided with quality services. If a student fails to notify us of a deferment or withdrawal this undermines our business practices. For this reason, we have set requirements for students wishing to defer or withdraw from a course and fees will apply as detailed below.

Courses run by Assess to Lift are under a fee-for-service arrangement which will not affect a student’s entitlement to other courses that may be government subsidised.

·        Must be paid at the time of booking using a credit/debit card or Paypal, or alternatively a purchase order/authority to invoice may be supplied. Any booking made using a purchase order/authority to invoice must be paid within 14 days of the invoice being raised

·        Are GST exempt with a receipt being issued within 7 days of payment

·        Will only be refunded in accordance with the fee schedule. Refunds will be processed within 14 working days and will be made available using electronic funds transfer

·        Include additional training free of charge for students who attended all scheduled classes at our training centre and made all reasonable efforts to succeed in their chosen course (free  training is not included for students enrolled in the Advanced Forklift course)

·        For courses delivered in the workplace will be quoted at a cost commensurate with the cost of course delivery which will include the separate quoted cost for additional training and potential reassessment

·        Do not include the additional $90 licence application fee (subject to CPI increase) payable to Service NSW for the issuance of the High-Risk Work Licence (HRWL) card

·        Include the processing and issuance of physical White Cards for White Card courses

Notification of deferment must be made by phone if the deferment is equal to or less than 7 days before the course is scheduled to commence. Email may be used if more than 7 days’ notice is given.

       Deferment fees will be charged at the following rates and rescheduling will be subject to course availability and suitability. Any deferment fee must be paid in full prior to the student being rebooked.

        Deferment fees will be waived where unforeseen circumstances prevent a student from attending their course  (for example, illness, family emergency etc) although evidence of the event will need to be supplied for the fee waiver to apply.

        Assess to Lift reserves the right to reschedule a student or waive a deferment fee at their own discretion.

7 days notification of course deferment

No charge will be incurred (rescheduling subject to availability)

Under 7 days but more than 48 hours notification of course deferment (must be via phone call or text message)

A deferment fee of 40% of the course cost will be charged

Less than 48 hours notification of course deferment (without a Dr’s Certificate or equivalent supporting evidence)

Deferment fee of 50% of the course cost will be charged

Deferment after course commencement (without a Dr’s Certificate or equivalent supporting evidence)

A deferment fee of  50% of the course cost will be charged

       Failure to meet pre-commencement obligations (completing application forms, collecting required identification documents etc) will result in a deferment fee being charged in accordance with the following schedule.

        Failure to notify non-attendance will result in the full course fee being charged with no refunds being given.  A student who has failed to attend or notify Assess to Lift prior to the scheduled course commencement time and date will therefore be required to pay the full course cost should they wish to enrol in another course.

Failure to complete the enrolment application form prior to the scheduled start time of the course        

A fee of 50% of the course cost will be charged

 Absent with no notification prior to the scheduled start time of the course    

No refunds will be given and the full course fee will be required should the student be rebooked

Deferment of a licence assessment for failure to supply declared proof of identity or an Assessment Enrolment Number (AEN)

             An additional $150 rescheduling fee will apply

Deferment of a white card course for failure to supply declared evidence of identity documents       

A $50 rescheduling fee will apply

Notification of withdrawal must be made by phone if the withdrawal is equal to or less than 7 days before the course is scheduled to commence. Email may be used if more than 7 days’ notice is given

Fees to withdraw from a course do not apply however course refunds will only be given in accordance with following schedule of fees

Any student not completing their course within 60 days of course commencement will be withdrawn by Assess to Lift. Assess to Lift reserves the right to withdraw an expired student enrolment without contacting the student

Withdrawal from any course after commencing (this will apply automatically after 60 days has passed)         

No refunds will be given, and no surcharges will apply

Breaches of the Student Code of Conduct             

No refunds will be given and course recommencement will be subject to the nature of the breach
