TLILIC0003 Licence to operate a forklift truck-2 day advanced course

This course is only suitable for students who have current practical skills and have the time and dedication to learn the theory and calculations before commencing the course.

The first day of the course will include a review and assessment of practical skills and knowledge. Any gaps in knowledge or skill will be addressed during this time.

Students will need to pass this first assessment to proceed to the licencing assessment on the final day.

The cost of this course is $390 with an additional licence application fee of $90 payable to Service NSW upon successful completion (subject to CPI.) A free licence re-assessment is provided to any student enrolled in this course who attempts to meet course requirements. 

Students enrolling in this course must be at least 18 years old and be capable of completing assessments in English. Students will also need to meet Proof of Identity requirements and register for a High Risk Work Licence Assessment in their Service NSW account to sit a licencing assessment. Course Overview
All courses delivered in the national unit of competency TLILIC0003 Licence to operate a forklift truck will cover the following topics:

• Legal requirements
• Hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control
• Communication and traffic management
• Planning and preparing for the work tasks
• Working near powerlines
• Refuelling and recharging
• Conducting safety checks on the forklift
• Performing the work tasks
• Emergency situations
• Parking, shutting down and securing the forklift
• Load calculation and load assessment​

The 2- day advanced course will require students to learn and retain the theory and calculations sections before attending their course. Students will also need an average to high level of literacy and numeracy to enrol in this course.

Students enrolling in this course will need to complete the enrolment application form as well as the 2-day advanced forklift licence course application form to confirm course suitability before they are permitted to book into this course.
